Upon arrival at Mandalay
International Airport, you will be welcomed by our local professional tour
guide. An excursion will be made to Amarapura, a former Royal Capital, 18 km
before entering Mandalay. Take a pleasant stroll on the famous teak wooden
bridge, U BEIN, which was built more than 200 years ago.
Observe the daily life
of monkhood in MAHA GANDAYON monastery, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more
than a thousand monks live and study.
Nowadays, Amarapura is famous for the
production of fine silk and cotton wear. A Visit will be made to a traditional
hand-woven silk workshop. In the afternoon, experience the highlights of
Mandalay including - Shwenandaw; the last surviving building of Royal Palace,
the world’s biggest book; the charming temple where entire Buddhist bible is
engraved on the 729 marble stone slabs, Mahamuni temple; the holiest Buddha image
believed to be touched by Buddha’s hand during his life time.
Enjoy the panoramic view over Mandalay City and watch the sunset up on Mandalay Hill. Overnight stay in Mandalay.
After breakfast, start your day with
a pleasant cruise over Ayerwaddy River to MINGUN village. Wander through the
village lanes and visit MINGUN BELL, the world’s largest un-cracked bell
weighing over 90 tons, the stylish HSINBYUME pagoda and the unfinished MINGUN
pagoda dreamed to become the world’s largest chedis by King Bodaw Paya in early
1800s. In the afternoon, cross MYITNGE River by a small boat and start
exploring the former Royal Capital INWA (AVA) by a horse cart.

Late in the evening, transfer to Mandalay Bus Station for, Mandalay – Taung Gyi located nearby Inle Lake, overnight bus ride. (Remark: Conditions of the buses are now much improved in Myanmar and we will try to get the best possible seat for you. Sometime the seats on the buses are much better than business class seats on the airplane. However, there may be availability issues depending on the time of booking)
Upon arrival at Taung Gyi in the early morning, try famous Shan noodle for breakfast and drive to Inle lake, explore the immense lake by a boat ride and observe the daily life of Intha-fishermen while witnessing the precarious balance of leg-rowers, visit Cheroot (Local Cigar) factory, floating gardens and floating market [ on market's day only ], Black Smith Village on the lake, and continue to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most revered shrine on the lake which dates back to the 18th century, the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery and the weaving village of Inpawkhon. Commence your day with a charming
boat ride to INDEINN PAGODA complex situated at the western end of the Lake.
Along the way, experience the different farming styles, cultivations on the
lake. Walk up to the Indeinn pagoda complex under the covered stairway. Observe
the lifestyle of people and wonder through the pagoda complex of 16th century.
On the way back, there are chances to explore and walk ashore in a village and also to observe fishing technique in shallow water with somewhat amazing net invented by the region. Lunch& Dinner to your own account and overnight stay at Paramount Inle Resort (**, Superior room) or similar in Inle.
After an early breakfast, you will be
transferred to airport for your domestic flight to Bagan. Begin your day with a
visit to the colorful local market and continue the day of intensive study of a
thousand years old architectural wonders. Visit SHWEZIGON PAGODA, a proto type
religious shrine built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century; GU BYAUK
GYI, a temple noted for superb murals of Jataka scenes; KHAY MIN GA TEMPLE,
famous for its panoramic view of the area’s numerous monuments and ANANDA
TEMPLE, an architectural masterpiece of Bagan with four standing Buddha images.
After lunch to your own account, visit one of the most treasured local cottage industry, a lacquer ware craftsmen’s workshop in nearby MYINKABA village and observe the amazing hand woven, painting, crafting techniques. Resume observation of architectural wonders by a visit to MANUHA TEMPLE, Mon style temple built in 1059 and NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique expressionist sandstone monument of King Manuha. Continue to SHWESANDAW and prepare to be mesmerized by the decent spell of sunset over the majestic Bagan scenery. Dinner will be to your own account and overnight stay at Ruby True (**, Superior room) in Bagan.
After breakfast, experience the area of TAYOKEPYAY TEMPLE in Min Nan Thu village; NANDAMANYA TEMPLE that displays the exquisite murals of 13th century and PHAYA THONE ZU and KYAT KAN CAVE monastery, a famous meditation retreat in Bagan. After lunch to your own account, visit MYINGABA GU BYAUK GYI TEMPLE which is under the protection of UNESCO and the ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM with a great number of beautiful Buddha images of bronze, stone and lacquer. Dinner to your own account and Overnight stay at Ruby True hotel (**, ROH room) or similar in Bagan.
After the Breakfast, you will be
transferred to the domestic airport for the flight to Yangon. Your excursion in
Yangon begins in the heart of Yangon city. Visit SULE PAGODA, dating back over
2,000 years and observe old colonial buildings. Proceed then to the magnificent
reclining Buddha at CHAUK HTAT GYI.
After a photo stop at the KARAWEIK HALL on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake, stroll through the BOGYOKE (SCOTTS) MARKET (closed on Mondays and public holidays) with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. Complete your Myanmar impressions with a visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON PAGODA. Lunch & Dinner will be to your own account. Overnight stay at Summit Park View Hotel or similar (****) hotel.
